Speaking to the media ahead of the Budget Session, Modi stated, “This Budget will shape the next five years of the current government and establish a strong foundation for the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.”

He emphasized that the upcoming elections in January 2029 should not distract from prioritizing the needs of the country, particularly its poor, farmers, women, and youth. Modi assured that efforts would be made to achieve the aspirations and goals of a developed India by 2047.

The Prime Minister expressed regret that the negative tactics of certain parties have prevented many parliamentarians from voicing their opinions and addressing issues relevant to their constituencies. “Since 2014, while some MPs have served five or ten years, many have not had the chance to speak about their constituencies due to the negative politics that obscured their contributions,” he said.

Modi called on all parties to provide opportunities for all members, especially first-time MPs, to share their perspectives.
