Allegations of mixing animal fat in the Tirumala Prasad, a symbol of faith, are creating a stir in Andhra Pradesh and across the country. Tirumala Srivari Prasad adulteration issue has become a hot topic politically. On Tuesday, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was set up on the Tirumala Laddu controversy. Sarvashrestha Tripathi was appointed as the chief of the SIT. Currently, Tripathi is the IG of Guntur Range. Gopinath Jetty and Harshavardhan Raju were appointed as SIT members. Currently, Gopinath Jetty is the DIG of Visakhapatnam while Harshavardhan Raju is the SP of Kadapa. The SIT is tasked to probe cow ghee purchase and tenders in Tirumala, investigate the supply of adulterated ghee, examine AR Dairy’s credibility and past allegations, and scrutinize contract awarding irregularities. Based on the SIT report, action will be taken by the Andhra Pradesh government against those responsible.

Chandrababu meticulously considered various names before finalizing the SIT team for the Tirumala Laddu adulteration case. Despite the government’s efforts, leaders of the YCP express skepticism toward the SIT’s impartiality. They advocate for a CBI inquiry or investigation led by a Supreme Court judge.

The war of words between ruling and opposition leaders has escalated over the case of film actress Jatwani. YCP chief YS Jagan accused the Chief Minister of targeting the IPS by obstructing the Mumbai woman. He reacted strongly to Jatwani’s case, criticizing Chandrababu for allegedly implementing the Red Book rule in the state and taking action against IAS and IPS officers. Jagan went on to accuse Jatwani of fabricating a story and slammed Chandrababu’s administration for unjustly putting the actress in jail and subjecting her to harassment in unrelated cases.

In response, Chief Minister Chandrababu refuted Jagan’s claims, emphasizing the importance of holding wrongdoers accountable and defending the actions taken by the government in the Jatwani case. Meanwhile, the police have intensified their investigation into the matter, leading to the arrest of accused A-1 Kukkala Vidyasagar in Dehradun. Vidyasagar is set to be interrogated and brought before the court to face charges related to the case.

Furthermore, IPS officer Kantirana Tata, who had been suspended in connection with the Jatwani case, has sought anticipatory bail by filing a petition in the High Court. On the 13th of this month, Jatwani lodged a complaint at the Ibrahimpatnam police station, alleging the filing of an illegal case against him, with Vidyasagar being named as A-1. The case has also implicated IPS officers PSR Anjaneyu, Kantirana Tata, and Vishal Gunni, who have been accused and subsequently suspended pending further investigation.

The Andhra Pradesh government has made a groundbreaking decision regarding the free supply of sand. Jivo, a key player in the industry, has announced a revision in the tariff structure, aimed at easing the burden of transport costs for consumers under the state’s free sand policy.

In a strategic move to regulate sand transport charges, the Chandrababu-led AP government has implemented a uniform pricing system across the state. Following consultations with sand transport vehicle owners, the government has finalized the transport tariff structure.

According to the new regulations, the government will charge Rs 13.5 per ton per kilometer for tractors weighing up to 4.5 tonnes and traveling up to 10 km. Similarly, six-tire trucks will incur a charge of 10 rupees per ton per kilometer, while trucks weighing up to 10 tonnes will pay 70 paise per ton for the same distance. For heavier vehicles like 10, 12, or 14-tire trucks up to 35 tonnes, the tariff is set at 9.40 rupees per tonne per kilometer.

Moreover, a convenient option for home delivery of sand is available for online bookings, with lorries designated for transportation to consumers’ residences. To facilitate this process, lorry owners interested in participating must register their vehicles with the Department of Mines, as instructed by district collectors.

The initiative has seen a positive response, with 3 thousand lorry owners already registering their vehicles in all districts. Equipped with GPS tracking, the government ensures that sand deliveries are closely monitored to prevent any unauthorized diversions.

The coalition government, formed just two and a half months ago, is approaching the culmination of its ambitious 100-day action plan. Under the leadership of AP CM Chandrababu, the government has set out to make significant changes and improvements in governance within this short timeframe.

From the outset, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for decisions and activities that distinguish this administration from its predecessor. All departments were tasked with setting specific targets and working tirelessly to achieve them. As the deadline of September 22nd draws near, the government is intensifying its efforts to fulfill its promises to the people.

One of the key focuses of the government has been on rectifying the mistakes of the past administration. Initiatives such as cracking down on illegal activities like ganja and drugs, boosting the agriculture sector, and developing capital projects like Amaravati and Visakha have been at the forefront of the agenda.

Recent reviews by CM Chandrababu have highlighted the progress made by various departments towards meeting the 100-day goals. The government has also engaged in collaborations with experts from IITs to ensure the successful implementation of key projects.

In addition to these efforts, the government has been actively involved in grassroots initiatives, completing Gram Sabhas in thousands of Panchayats and advancing the establishment of corporations to drive economic growth.

As the government enters the final stretch of its 100-day plan, it is evident that significant strides have been made, but challenges remain. The commitment to transparency, efficiency, and responsiveness to the needs of the people will be crucial in maintaining the trust placed in this coalition government.

The World Bank delegation’s visit to Andhra Pradesh is ongoing, with groups of 10 members from both the World Bank and ADB arriving in the state for official visits. Representatives from the World Bank and ADB are scheduled to conduct extensive tours until the 27th of this month.

Progress continues in the development of Amaravati, as the Andhra Pradesh government gains further insight from the World Bank regarding funding outlined in the Union Budget. A significant meeting took place today between Chandrababu and the World Bank teams, during which discussions included the potential for a loan from the World Bank.

Field studies have already been conducted on construction projects and roads in Amaravati. Following discussions with CRDA officials in the morning, a meeting was held with CM Chandrababu later in the day. The World Bank’s technical experts sought clarifications on legal and infrastructure matters, while also inquiring about ongoing litigations with the National Green Tribunal.

The Amaravati Master Plan was reviewed with the Chief Minister, where Chandrababu presented detailed economic plans in a PowerPoint presentation. Emphasizing the use of cutting-edge technology and global standards in construction, he expressed that the World Bank is considering additional financial support beyond the budgeted 15,000 crores, potentially in partnership with the Asian Development Bank. The CM urged expedited release of funds.

A recent visit by a group of World Bank representatives involved inspections of various locations in Amaravati, including roads, the Kondaveeti stream pump house, and educational institutions like VIT, SRM, and AIIMS. The alliance government’s efforts towards Amaravati’s development are described as progressing rapidly.
