Raj Tarun, a young hero with a string of recent films, stars in his latest venture “Derebadara Sammy” alongside Malvi Malhotra, under the direction of senior filmmaker AS Ravikumar Chaudhary. However, the buzz surrounding the film turned negative following its August 2 release due to criticism of its outdated storyline, resulting in lackluster box office performance.

Despite the initial reception, “Ippudadi Darabadara Sammy” is now set for digital streaming, with the popular Telugu OTT platform Aaha securing the rights for “Thiragabadara Sammy.” While an official announcement from Aaha hints at a September 20 streaming date, details are yet to be finalized.

The movie features a star-studded cast including Mannara Chopra, Makarand Desh Pandey, Pragathi, Bitthiri Satthi, Raghu Babu, Prithviraj, Thagubotu Ramesh, Bhadram, and others, with music by JB Swara.

With Ravi Teja’s popularity and Harish Shankar’s reputation, Netflix’s move to acquire the rights hints at the potential of the film in the digital space.

Given the underwhelming theatrical run, plans are underway to bring “Mr. Bachchan” to OTT platforms at the earliest, aiming for a release on Netflix from September 12. An official announcement regarding this transition is expected in the first week of September.
