Srisailam Temple: The Heart of Kartika Month Devotion
The Srisailam Shrine, one of the most revered Jyotirlinga temples in India, is witnessing a massive surge of devotees during the month of Kartika. Every year, thousands of pilgrims travel from across the country to visit this sacred site, making the temple a key destination for worship and spiritual practices. However, this significant increase in visitors has led to growing concerns over traffic congestion, especially on the Srisailam-Hyderabad highway and Srisailam Ghat Road.

Chief Minister Takes Action Amid Rising Traffic Woes
The increasing vehicular traffic has created a difficult situation for Shivayya devotees who are traveling to Srisailam for the Kartika month. To address this issue, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu personally stepped in after being briefed by officials. It was explained that the high number of visitors from neighboring states had contributed to the traffic problems on the routes leading to the temple.

In a bid to resolve these difficulties, the Chief Minister directed the authorities to take immediate measures to clear traffic on the Srisailam Ghat Road and surrounding routes. He emphasized the need for a permanent solution to the growing congestion, which has been affecting the movement of devotees and local commuters alike.

Comprehensive Study and Master Plan for Traffic Management
Chief Minister Naidu instructed officials to undertake a comprehensive study of the traffic situation to devise a permanent solution. Roads and Buildings (R&B) and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) were tasked with analyzing the traffic bottlenecks along the Srisailam-Hyderabad National Highway and creating a strategic plan to ease the flow of traffic.

The government is also planning a large-scale development around the Srisailam temple. A master plan is being created to enhance the infrastructure and facilitate better management of the influx of devotees. These plans include addressing traffic issues not only on the local roads but also improving connectivity with neighboring states to ensure smoother travel for pilgrims.

Collaborative Effort with Neighboring States
Recognizing that the issue of traffic congestion may extend beyond state borders, the Chief Minister suggested that officials reach out to neighboring states if necessary. He expressed willingness to coordinate with their governments to tackle the problem effectively and remove any obstacles that could hinder the experience of the devotees visiting the temple.

The ultimate goal is to ensure that devotees can access the Srisailam shrine without facing unnecessary hardships while promoting the growth and development of the temple’s surrounding infrastructure.

How to Identify Genuine Camphor for Puja: Simple Tips to Avoid Fake Products https://www.vizagone.com/lifestyle/how-to-identify-genuine-camphor-for-puja-simple-tips-to-avoid-fake-products/ https://www.vizagone.com/lifestyle/how-to-identify-genuine-camphor-for-puja-simple-tips-to-avoid-fake-products/#respond Thu, 14 Nov 2024 00:49:50 +0000 https://www.vizagone.com/?p=35050 As the Kartika month continues, many people use camphor during puja. But how can you tell if the camphor you’re using is genuine or fake? Learn simple tips to identify real camphor and avoid health risks associated with counterfeit products.

During the auspicious month of Kartika, many people engage in puja rituals at home, lighting camphor to purify the surroundings and bring positivity. While the white appearance of camphor may seem reassuring, it’s important to check whether the camphor you’re using is genuine or fake. Using fake camphor can lead to health problems, and it may not bring the desired benefits to your home or worship. Here are some simple tips to help you identify real camphor:

1. Check the Color of the Camphor:

Genuine camphor is usually white and pure. Fake camphor, on the other hand, often has a slightly light brown, yellowish, or greenish tint. If you notice any of these colors, it could be a sign that the camphor is not authentic.

2. Ash After Burning:

When pure camphor is burned, it completely evaporates, leaving no ash behind. If you find that ash remains after burning camphor, it is likely to be adulterated or fake. Real camphor has the ability to burn cleanly without residue.

3. Burning Time:

Genuine camphor burns slowly and takes some time to fully dissolve. Fake camphor, however, will burn quickly and melt away almost instantly. The speed at which it burns can help you identify if it’s real or not.

4. Flame Color:

The flame color can also be a clue. When burning real camphor, the flame will often have a subtle blue hue, with a pleasant aroma. On the other hand, burning fake camphor usually results in a slightly orange flame and may not produce a pleasant scent.

5. Testing with Water:

One of the easiest tests for camphor authenticity is to place a small piece in water. Pure camphor, being denser, will sink to the bottom of the water. However, fake camphor will float on top, as it is often made with additives that make it lighter than pure camphor.

Benefits of Pure Camphor:

In addition to its use in puja rituals, genuine camphor has many medicinal properties. It helps to purify the air by removing bacteria and negative energies from your home, creating a positive atmosphere. Camphor is also known for its role in promoting good health and aiding in skin and hair care.

Conclusion:

Ensuring that the camphor you use is genuine is important for both your health and the success of your puja rituals. By following the above tips, you can easily identify real camphor and avoid the harmful effects of counterfeit products. Remember, pure camphor offers numerous benefits, from enhancing the worship experience to improving your home’s energy and your overall health.

Srisailam, Nandyala District: Devotees have thronged the Mallanna temple in Srisailam today, marking the auspicious first Monday of the Kartika month. This sacred day sees a significant influx of devotees who are taking holy baths in Patal Ganga before heading to the temple for a glimpse of Mallanna. The atmosphere is vibrant with Kartika lamps being lit in the Gangadhara Mandapam and along North Shivamada street.

Due to the overwhelming number of visitors, touching darshan of Lord Swami has been suspended, with only decorative darshan permitted. As thousands wait in line, the average time for a visit to see Sri Swami Ammavari stretches to approximately six hours.

The Kartika Monday festivities are particularly special for the devotees of Mallikarjunaswamy, as the Mukkanthi Kshetra has become a hub of spiritual activity. Many have arrived early to take part in the holy bath in Patal Ganga, light Kartika lamps, and offer prayers. At Gangadhara Mandapam, devotees are seen lighting lamps and chanting traditional Kartika hymns.

In light of the significant traffic of devotees throughout the month, the temple authorities have announced that touching darshan, mass gatherings, and garbhalaya abhishekam will be temporarily halted on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays until the end of Kartika. EO of the temple, EV Chandrasekhar Reddy, noted that touching darshan will be allowed in four sessions daily from Tuesday to Friday.

To enhance the spiritual experience, the Devasthanam Lakshdeepotsavam and Pushkarini Aarti are scheduled to take place at Pushkarini, located on the northeast side of the main temple, this evening.
