Amaravati, November 27: The Andhra Pradesh Department of School Education has announced a significant update for candidates waiting for the Mega DSC 2024 notification. Although the release of the notification has been postponed, the Education Department has confirmed that the DSC syllabus will be made available today, November 27, at 11 am. This syllabus can be accessed and downloaded from the official AP DSC website.

While the release of the Mega DSC 2024 notification is delayed due to the ongoing SC classification process, the education department has urged candidates to continue their preparation without waiting for the official notification. In response to requests from several MLCs, the government has taken steps to ensure that the syllabus is released ahead of the notification.

What to Expect from Mega DSC 2024?

The Mega DSC 2024 aims to fill a total of 16,347 teacher positions across the state of Andhra Pradesh. However, the release of the notification has been delayed further due to the classification issues. As per reports, the government expects to finalize the SC classification process before proceeding with the release of the notification. Officials have indicated that the process may take another 2-3 months.

Despite this delay, the government has reassured candidates that the teacher replacements will proceed on schedule. The Education Department has designed a roadmap to ensure that teacher appointments are completed in time for the next academic year.

Minister Nara Lokesh’s Key Announcement

In response to requests from MLCs Vepada Chiranjeevi Rao, Kancharla Srikanth, and Bhumi Reddy Ramgopal Reddy, who petitioned for an early release of the syllabus, Minister Nara Lokesh took a positive stance and confirmed that the syllabus would be released before the DSC notification. This decision aligns with the government’s commitment to completing appointments by the beginning of the upcoming academic year.

Minister Lokesh also addressed several queries raised in the AP Assembly, focusing on issues related to teachers’ roles, responsibilities, and the rules governing their appointments.

The recent rains have created havoc in many parts of the state, particularly in the surrounding areas of Vijayawada, where the flood has caused severe damage. The floods have not only disrupted the lives of people in various districts but have also led to the loss of hard-earned certificates and important documents.

The Board of Intermediate Education has taken a compassionate step by deciding to provide duplicate certificates free of cost to individuals who have lost their certificates due to the floods. Secretary Kritika Shukla announced that certified copies and duplicate certificates will be given at no charge to those affected by the floods in Vijayawada and other affected regions. The directive has been issued to Regional Inspecting Officers (RIOs) and District Inspecting Education Officers (DIEOs) to spread awareness about this initiative in flood-affected areas.

Affected candidates can apply for copies of their certificates by contacting the principal and district authorities of the college they attended. Alternatively, they can reach out to the board officials directly for assistance. Besides certificates, various other documents like Aadhaar, birth, death, marriage certificates, vehicle registrations, and more were also damaged in the floods.

The coalition government has made a decision to provide duplicate certificates, official documents, and certified copies to those who suffered losses. Minister Nara Lokesh recently oversaw a review meeting to address the issue of students who lost their certificates. Minister Lokesh instructed officials to promptly issue free certificates to the affected students and to establish full Digital Locker facilities to streamline future certificate verification processes, including for APPSC exam candidates.

Human Resources Development Minister Nara Lokesh has pledged to introduce the Thalliki Vandanam initiative starting from the upcoming academic year. This program aims to offer financial aid to students pursuing higher education. The detailed plan will be crafted in consultation with relevant stakeholders, as stated by the minister during his responses in the AP Legislative Council session on Wednesday.

Highlighting that the scheme will be inclusive of students from both public and private schools, Minister Lokesh mentioned that multiple students from a single family may benefit from the scheme. “Discussions are underway with authorities from Uttar Pradesh and Delhi to finalize the implementation strategies,” he remarked.

Members of the council observed that the previous YSRC government provided financial support under the ‘Amma Vodi’ scheme, granting students Rs 15,000. However, a portion of Rs 2,000 was reportedly allocated for other purposes, resulting in beneficiaries receiving only Rs 13,000.

Additionally, Minister Lokesh expressed intentions to reassess the agreements made by the prior administration with the Educational Testing Service (India) for conducting assessments, including the TOEFL exam components assessing students’ language skills. While not opposed to English as a medium of instruction for Class 3 students, he noted the limited availability of teachers trained for such classes. Considering the TOEFL exam’s focus on American English skills, Minister Lokesh suggested that training for Class 3 students might not be necessary.

Since his WhatsApp account has been blocked and is currently dormant, Minister Nara Lokesh has advised the public to direct their grievances to hello.lokesh@ap.gov.in, his personal email address.

The minister, who is in charge of the IT, electronics, and education departments, promised to investigate the problems brought to his attention and try to find solutions. It was explained that a big number of people from all throughout the state were sending WhatsApp messages about their problems, which caused the minister’s system to become stuck.

Lokesh encouraged people to contact him at hello.lokesh@ap.gov.in in order to stay in touch. Requests should contain the name, city, phone number, email address, and any information that relates to the issue. People can file grievances at hello.lokesh@ap.gov.in. During his Yuvagalam Padayatra, he had registered a mail account under the name “Hello Lokesh.”

At the same time, the minister hosted a Prajadarbar at his Undavalli home, wherein residents of Mangalagiri and other parts of the state raised a variety of concerns. Due to his immobility, Mangalagiri resident Shankar Rao applied for an old-age pension. B Putlamma from Chinakaka asked for help with her medical condition. Chinakakani’s Gausia Begum begged for a job. Workers from Mangalagiri pleaded with the government to mandate the regularization of the contracts and the outsourcing of the low-paid workforce.

Farmers from Yarrambalem, Navuluru, Nidamarru, Bethapudi, and Kuragallu who are BC, SC, and ST requested that the minister address the issues that have arisen with the selling of allotted lands in Amaravati.

P. Naga Suresh protested that YSRC leaders in the Mangalagiri seat ought to face consequences for their ration irregularities. Distributors requested approval for the outstanding invoices.

In addition to ration cards, representatives of the APSRTC retired employees group requested pension and health benefits.
The Telugu Nadu teachers’ organization representatives pleaded for solutions to teachers’ issues and for preventing the closure of basic schools. Lokesh pledged to fix problems.
