]]>The biopic aims to capture pivotal moments in India’s freedom movement, including Jagjivan Ram’s detentions by British authorities and his immense contributions to social equality. The film will bring history alive, with Prathipadu MLA B. Ramanjaneyulu playing the revolutionary Bhagat Singh, Parvathipuram MLA Vijay Chandra stepping into the role of Chandrasekhar Azad, and Chintalapudi MLA S. Roshan Kumar portraying a British Governor General. Supporting roles will be taken on by MLAs Varla Kumar Raja, Dastagiri, and Jayasurya.
Dilip Raj expressed the challenges and excitement of recreating the historical events accurately, noting the time and budget demands of such a significant project. Military Prasad has been cast as the titular character Jagjivan Ram, while seasoned actress Talluri Rameshwari will depict former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar. Kannada film stars Markali, Jeeva, Narasimha Raju, Annapurna, Kavya Keerthi, Divija, Padmini, Rajya, Errababu, Bhanu, and Haribabu round out the dynamic cast.
Produced under the Pedaravuru Film Studio banner, Jagjivan Ram has backing from Non-Resident Indians, including Dr. Nagamalleswara Rao, with coordination led by Kaleeb Raju. Helming the story, screenplay, lyrics, and direction, Dilip Raj has built an expansive vision for this film. Upon its release, expected worldwide in 2025, the movie will be available in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, as per Pradeep Donepudi, the unit controller.
This cinematic project not only honors Jagjivan Ram’s legacy but also demonstrates the commitment of Andhra Pradesh’s MLAs to showcase India’s rich history.
