Court Plea for Opposition Status

The YCP has sought legal intervention, requesting opposition status based on its 40% vote share in the assembly. Despite this appeal, legislative rules currently prioritize numerical strength over vote percentage, leaving the party ineligible for opposition privileges.

PAC and Its Political Significance

The PAC Chairman is a critical position in the legislative framework, overseeing government expenditure and ensuring accountability. Between 2014-2019, Buggana Rajendranath Reddy served as PAC Chairman, followed by Payyavula Keshav during the 2019-2024 term.
