He underlined the need for textbooks provided to both teachers and students to be devoid of any political content, visuals, or colorations. The minister also discussed the impending conclusion of the term for school management committees scheduled for July. He advocated for the election of these committees in August and proposed transferring the responsibility of ensuring quality mid-day meals and improving basic amenities in schools to parent committees.

Lokesh urged for better maintenance of school toilets and directed officials to initiate tenders for procuring essential chemicals and materials. Concerning schools following the CBSE syllabus, he announced plans to develop a new strategy to guarantee the delivery of high-quality education in these institutions. Additionally, the minister sanctioned a plan to fill both teaching and non-teaching vacancies.
