]]> It seems that about seven movies and series will be digitally streamed next month. The makers are also bringing the super hit films in Telugu and other languages to the audience. Along with horror, crime thriller, murder mystery, touching family drama, and beautiful love story films are also being streamed. Keep an eye out for movies and web series that will be released on OTT during Dussehra holidays.

With Sharannavaratri just around the corner and Bathukamma celebrations starting from October 2, the festive season is set to be filled with entertainment. Devi Sharannavaratri mahotsavam will kick off the celebrations, followed by Dussehra holidays starting from October 2 in the state.

To cater to the movie lovers’ interests, OTT platforms are rolling out new web series and super hit movies. Aakashame Nee Haddura, a blockbuster movie in the South Indian industry, is making waves. The Hindi remake of this film, Sarpira, will be available for streaming on Disney Plus Hot Star from October 11. Fans can also look forward to the thriller movie CTRL starring Ananya Pandey on the same platform.

Netflix is set to release digitally from October 4, offering viewers a variety of content. Amar Prem Ki Prem Kahani, a love and romantic entertainer, will premiere on the popular OTT platform Jio on the same day. Karthikeya 2 fame Anupam Kher will star in The Signature, streaming on G5 from October 4.

For fans of murder mysteries, the Manwat Murders web series will be available on Sony Liv from October 4, promising an intriguing storyline centered around murder. Additionally, the romantic drama Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives season 3 is scheduled for release on October 18 on a popular OTT platform.

Valai, a Malayalam drama film, is set to stream from October 11 on Disney Plus Hot Star, adding to the diverse range of content available for viewers this festive season.

]]> Vijayadashami (Dasara) is a festival celebrated to symbolize the victory of good over evil. Dussehra festival holds immense importance in Hinduism, also known as Devi Navratri and Sharannavaratri. It commemorates the day when Lord Rama defeated and killed Ravana, who abducted Seetamma’s mother.

In the year 2024, Shukla Paksha Dashami Tithi will begin on October 12 at 10.58 am and conclude on October 13 at 9.08 am, marking the celebration of Vijayadashami (Dussehra) on the 12th of October.

Dussehra is celebrated to honor Rama’s victory over Ravana and also signifies the slaying of the demon Mahishasura by Goddess Durga on Vijaya Dashami after a nine-day battle. This is why Dussehra is also referred to as Sharannavaratri and Devi Navratri. During these nine days, various forms of Goddess Durga are adorned, and special pujas are conducted.

In West Bengal, Vijayadasami is observed with grand festivities. On Dussehra day, Shami Puja is performed, where the leaves of the Shami tree are exchanged for gold as a symbol of good luck and prosperity. Bengalis celebrate Bijoy Dashami on the tenth day of Durga Puja, culminating in the immersion of Goddess Durga idols in the river.

Additionally, Shami Puja, Aparajita Puja, and witnessing Palapitta are considered auspicious traditions on Dussehra day.
