India and Brunei Darussalam recently marked 40 years of diplomatic relations, a milestone that Modi eagerly anticipated discussing with Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.

In Singapore, Prime Minister Modi is set to engage in discussions with key leaders including President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong. Strengthening relations in crucial areas aligning with India’s ‘Act East’ policy, Modi views Brunei and Singapore as pivotal partners in the Indo-Pacific region.

Anticipating a deepening of partnerships not only with the two countries but also with the ASEAN region, PM Modi looks forward to dialogues on advanced manufacturing, digitalization, sustainable development, and emerging sectors. Rakesh Kumar and Sheetal Devi added to India’s success with a silver medal in the mixed team compound open archery event.
