]]>A total of 31,383 candidates had qualified for the Mains after the prelims, and 21,181 candidates (67.17%) appeared for the exams across 46 exam centers in Hyderabad, Rangareddy, and Medchal districts.
The evaluation process for the Group 1 Mains exams started in the second week of November and is being conducted in two phases for each paper. If there are discrepancies in the marks between the phases, a third phase of evaluation will be carried out. TGPSC is aiming to complete the evaluation and release the final merit list based on 1:2 ratio (1 position for every 2 candidates) by February 19, 2024.
The TGPSC plans to expedite the recruitment process, with Revanth Sarkar intending to complete the entire recruitment cycle for Group 1 within a year of the notification, following a model similar to the UPSC recruitment process. This would ensure faster and more efficient recruitment and avoid backlogs.
In line with the new plans, TGPSC will release the results for Group 2 and Group 3 exams only after the declaration of Group 1 results. This is being done to prevent delays and streamline the recruitment process for these posts. The Group 2 written exams are scheduled for next month, and the Group 3 exams have already been completed.
The TGPSC 2024 notification for the 563 Group 1 posts was released on February 19, 2024, and after the completion of evaluations, candidates will be selected based on merit, followed by certificate scrutiny.
