Recent reports from the forest department of Uttar Pradesh have revealed a chilling reality for residents of Baharaich and Bijnor districts. While wolves have been terrorizing Baharaich for months, the presence of man-eating leopards has plunged Bijnor into fear and uncertainty.

The statistics paint a grim picture, with 25 lives lost to leopard attacks in Bijnor alone. The situation in Baharaich is no less dire, as packs of wolves roam freely, posing a constant threat to the local population.

In Bijnor, the fear of cheetah attacks has plagued residents for over a year, with 85 villages and 60 thousand people living in constant fear. Despite efforts by the forest department to contain the leopards, the attacks continue unabated, pushing the villages into a state of hyper sensitivity.

The once bustling Pilana area of Bijnor now lies deserted as residents rush home before nightfall, fearing the lurking predators. Locals recount how their lives have been upended by the sudden surge in leopard attacks, with some villages feeling isolated and under siege.

As the death toll climbs to 25 in Bijnor, the urgency to address the predator threat grows. With wolves causing chaos in Baharaich and leopards striking fear in Bijnor, the wildlife-human conflict in Uttar Pradesh demands immediate attention and action.
