Apple is on the brink of revolutionizing its MacBook Air lineup with the upcoming launch of M4-powered models set for early 2025. These next-gen MacBook Airs, featuring the powerful new M4 chip, will build on the sleek design introduced in 2022. According to insiders, the refreshed 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Airs, codenamed J713 and J715, are currently nearing the start of production.

This M4 chip upgrade, part of a sweeping update to Apple’s entire Mac lineup, brings significant performance boosts. It’s engineered to handle advanced artificial intelligence (AI) processing, thanks to Apple’s upgraded neural engine, which will optimize tasks like Apple Intelligence and enhanced AI capabilities. This chip update will also power the new MacBook Pros, iMacs, and Mac minis launching next week, making the M4 series a major milestone in Apple’s Mac development.

Alongside the MacBook Air, Apple is preparing a new release for the professional-grade Mac Studio, codenamed J575, which is now set to arrive after a March 2025 software update. This high-end machine, designed for graphics-heavy tasks like gaming, will benefit from the M4’s ray-tracing capabilities and upgraded neural processing power. Additionally, the M4-powered Mac Pro, Apple’s most powerful machine, will bring next-level performance to professionals, particularly those working with AI and high-intensity graphics.

In the same product cycle, Apple is also planning releases for the iPhone SE, new iPad Air models, an updated iPad keyboard, and the 11th-generation entry-level iPads (codenamed J481 and J482). AI functionality will be a focal point, and next week’s Mac rollout will showcase the M4 chip’s enhanced AI processing.

The Mac mini, meanwhile, is getting its first physical redesign in over a decade, and will be more compact, closely resembling the Apple TV. With Apple poised to introduce an AI-driven era in its lineup, these new M4-powered devices promise enhanced performance, next-gen capabilities, and sleek new designs to meet the needs of modern users.
