OpenAI, the AI startup, announced that its chatbot, Chat GPT, has exceeded 200 million weekly active users, marking a doubling since last November. Moreover, OpenAI revealed that 92% of Fortune 500 companies are now utilizing its products. The adoption of its automated API, facilitating communication between software applications, has also doubled following the introduction of ChatGPT-40 mini in July. This smaller and cost-effective AI model aims to democratize technology access while reducing energy consumption, broadening OpenAI’s customer base.

The success of Chat GPT has propelled OpenAI’s popularity and contributed to a remarkable surge in the company’s valuation, based in San Francisco. Recent media coverage suggests that tech giants like Apple and Nvidia are considering investments in OpenAI as part of a fundraising round that could value the ChatGPT developer at over $100 billion. Additionally, reports indicate that Microsoft, a key supporter of OpenAI, is likely to participate in the investment opportunity.
