The severe low-pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal is heading towards the coast, raising concerns for the people of Andhra Pradesh. Officials from the Visakhapatnam Meteorological Department have forecast heavy rains across several districts due to this weather system.
The low-pressure area, situated over the southwest to west-central Bay of Bengal, is expected to move northwestwards and make landfall along the north Tamil Nadu and southern Andhra Pradesh coasts within the next 12 hours. It will then travel northwards along the Andhra Pradesh coastline over the next 24 hours, impacting the weather across the region.

- Heavy Rains Expected: Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Seetharamaraju, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalle, Kakinada, and Eluru districts.
- Light to Moderate Rains: Konaseema, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, NTR, Prakasam, Nellore, Kurnool, Nandyal, Anantapur, Sri Sathya Sai, YSR, and Chittoor districts.
