An orange alert has been issued for Alluri district, Parvathipuram Manyam district, and Eluru district, while a yellow alert covers Vizianagaram, Visakha, Anacapalli, Srikakulam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Konaseema, NTR, and Palnadu districts.
The Director of Visakha Cyclone Warning Center has advised fishermen to refrain from fishing in the sea for three days. NTR District Collector Srijana has been alerted to the severity of the impending weather conditions, prompting orders to close all government and private schools in the district on Friday with strict penalties for violators.
Despite the state government’s relief efforts in flood-affected areas, residents continue to struggle, especially in inner colonies and remote regions where relief distribution remains insufficient. Flooded areas are experiencing power outages, forcing victims to stay put out of fear of theft. The situation is dire in agricultural regions like Lankan villages, where thousands of hectares of crops have been destroyed, leaving farmers in need of government assistance.
