As the typhoon threat subsides, Andhra Pradesh continues to experience scattered rain showers due to lingering low-pressure activity. Although no severe weather is forecasted, the meteorological conditions suggest intermittent rains across different regions of the state, including North Coast Andhra, South Coastal Andhra, and Rayalaseema.

According to the latest updates from the Meteorological Department, a well-marked low-pressure system remains over North Odisha. It is expected to weaken within the next 12 hours, reducing potential heavy rainfall risks. Additionally, in Yanam and surrounding areas, the lower tropopause is generating northwesterly winds, further influencing weather patterns in Andhra Pradesh.

Regional Weather Outlook

North Coast Andhra & Yanam
The weekend and early part of the next week will bring light to moderate rains at isolated locations across North Coast Andhra and Yanam. Residents may experience brief showers on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, though no significant weather disruptions are anticipated.

South Coastal Andhra
Similarly, South Coastal Andhra is forecasted to have light to moderate rainfall at a few places across the region. The meteorological department indicates that the chances of rain are high over the next three days, particularly in the evenings and at night.

Rayalaseema
Rayalaseema is also expected to see light to moderate rains intermittently over Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. With sporadic showers in isolated areas, daily activities will likely proceed as usual, with mild interruptions from rainfall.

Rainfall Prediction Summary

  • Saturday to Monday: Light to moderate rain showers are anticipated at scattered locations across North Coast Andhra, Yanam, South Coastal Andhra, and Rayalaseema.

Residents are advised to stay updated with local forecasts and take necessary precautions in case of any unexpected downpours. The Amaravati Meteorological Center will continue to monitor weather patterns and provide timely updates for any significant changes.
